The Boxers Trail is like no other. It twists through forests and meadows, up hills and along shady creeks; passes historic mansions and vibrant playgrounds. This trail was a favorite of Joe Frazier- and many other boxing greats.

The Boxers Trail 5K is an annual event, hosted by hosted by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, the Fairmount Park Conservancy and the Strawberry Mansion community with the generous support of Philly Races.
The event begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 18 at the Mander Playground (2140 N. 33rd St, at the intersection of N. 33rd St and Diamond St.). Packet pickup and event day registration begin at 8:30 a.m.
All proceeds support youth programs at Mander Playground in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.

Originally built in 1961, the playground includes a recreation center with space for arts and crafts and other activities, a meeting room, and restrooms.
Mander Playground offers a wide variety of programming, including soccer, flag football, cheerleading, salsa, movie nights, summer camps, after-school programs, and walking clubs.
Online registration is now closed, but event day registration is available on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m.
Join us post-race on September 18 at nearby Woodford Mansion (33rd and Dauphin Drive, East Fairmount Park) for the 12th Annual Community Apple Festival from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The event is free and features cider making, apple tasting, pumpkin painting, light snacks and tours of Woodford Mansion and Orchard & Food Forest.

Neighbors are also invited to stick around for the Strawberry Mansion Health Fair.
This event will feature COVD-19 vaccinations, blood pressure screenings, a live DJ and more!
